Allie Richert, she/her Student Intern

Hello, my name is Allie and I am so glad you are here!

Maybe you are:

Feeling worn out navigating a challenging relationship.

Lonely and at a loss for how to talk about what you’ve been facing.

Overwhelmed by stress, worries, or past experiences.

Maybe you feel stuck…

Whatever has brought you to this page, I want to acknowledge the courageous step you’ve already made in seeking out support.

As a therapist, I have a deep belief in the human potential for change and aim to co-create a space where people feel safe to explore what it means to be present, connected, authentic, and accepted. I am passionate about the ways that relationships impact our understanding of ourselves, others, and the world. I consider it a privilege to join alongside people in their challenges, transitions, fears, loneliness, and pain, and to walk together towards change.

A little more about me, I am currently working towards a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and have a background in Public Health. I have worked with youth, young adults, and families in various helping roles for the past eight years. Outside of my counselling practice and school, you can find me reading or exploring nature with my partner and friends – I love hiking, camping, and being on the water.

I work from a trauma-informed, attachment oriented, systemic perspective, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) in order to hold a holistic view of what it means to be human, to grow, and for all the parts of who we are to be welcome.

You are not alone. I would consider it an honour to hear your story and join with you on your path of healing and growth.

I work with:

  • Individual adults
