Rose Welsh, she/her C.C.C.

My name is Rose, and I am dedicated to supporting individuals and couples in nurturing their well-being and growing from their past experiences and traumas.

My areas of experience and interest include working with:

  • Trauma

  • Couples and sex therapy

  • Emotional dysregualtion

  • Stress and Burnout

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Life transitions

  • Interpersonal challenges

  • Body image

  • Self-esteem concerns

My approach to counselling is person-centred and trauma-informed, recognizing the impact that life experiences have on shaping who we are. I also approach counselling from a strength-based perspective, where I hope to highlight your capabilities and strengths - believing in every person’s ability to change and grow.

Couples Counselling :

In addition to working with individuals, I also have a passion for working with couples. Whether navigating relationship challenges or seeking to enrich your bond/intimacy, I’m here to support you in building a stronger and more fulfilling partnership. I offer specialized support for couples to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and nurture intimacy. Trained in the Gottman Couples Counselling method (Level 1 & Level 2 certified), I provide practical tools and strategies to strengthen your relationship and foster greater trust, respect, and love.

My training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-behavioural Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Integrative Sex Therapy and the Gottman Couples Counselling method. I tailor my approach to address your concerns and support your journey towards healing and growth. I work to create an environment where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are met with warmth, compassion and understanding.

I believe the foundation of my practice is establishing rapport and trust. The relationship between you and your chosen counsellor is vital and deeply personal. I am honoured that you are considering me to accompany you on this journey.

When not in the counselling chair, I wear many hats: daughter, sister, friend, animal lover, wannabe Zumba instructor, and food enthusiast. I love binge-watching a good reality TV show and baking yummy treats during my downtime.

Rose is registered as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) Member #11253632.
